Chapter 2
Chapter 2
It was a hard morning to get up. I was like a dead slug. After I ate pancakes, my friends and I always meet up at my house before going to school. Around 7:00 am I guess. We need to be at school around 7:45 am. We all have Surf boards in Middle School, but as for my brother’s elementary school, Peng Frost, they use the “Safe-Board”. It protects the classmates by a rectangular prism box attached to the surf-board. My school has ice floors so we can surf there at certain times. Holo had a hooded jacket and black colored shoes with the words “Surf” on it. As for Artic she has a pink hat with a pink hooded jacket with flip flops.
The bell rang. As we waddled to our classroom Artic’s flip flops made plopping noises. The first period is Language Arts. We learn new words that I already know and write stuff in our notebooks. Holo sends messages to me in crack code like this: iH. They are just reversed. Artic is a straight “A” grade student so she pays attention too much, like a penguin standing there, only raising her hand up. The bell rang. We went to our lockers. My locker is a MESS! In the locker there is overdue class work, overdue homework, pictures, reminders, a laptop, and some lunch money. Second period is Science, it’s my favorite subject, but not for Holo. It’s his most unfavorite subject, because for him it is too difficult and he spends too much time on one worksheet. We learned about how other animals live and what they look like. I am the first one to turn my full completed work sheet in correctly. Everyone was impressed. Science ended, but Holo still had uncompleted work sheets for science.
The best time of school came. “Surfing Time!” shouted Holo. Artic was silent, but she still enjoys it. I got my surf board and rode through the hall way. Water came splashing at a certain place and I saw an amazing trick that Artic did! She did a Hang 10! All the penguins stared at her and said nothing. After awhile penguins started to crowding her. They all yelled, “Artic Rocks! GO GO GO!” and “Please sign my board!” Holo was opening his mouth like a huge whale about to eat millions of fish, in a perfect circle. I think he was jealous, but I wasn’t. I went to her and said “Nice surf!” Holo said the same thing, too. Artic smiled.
Surfing Time ended and the next subject was Math. Holo is good at math. He can multiply 4787×546 faster than a flash of lightning! The teacher never seems to be too amazed at what other students do, but as for Holo it’s way different. A paper airplane came flying to me. The teacher didn’t see the flying airplane because she was writing on the ice board. The paper airplane said “Open”, so I opened it. It was from Gallow. The message said, “I will get you at 3:00 when school is over, but don’t think about running away.” I was scared. I wrote a code message to Holo saying “pleH! wollaG si gniyrt ot teab em pu yadot ta 00:3.” It really says “Help! Gallow is trying to beat me up today at 3:00.”
Math ended, and it was lunch. We have gross stuff at school. Broccoli which melted just by poking a fork at it, very dry beans, fish that has brown stuff on it, and NO deserts. I feel bad for Holo and Artic, because they didn’t bring their lunch to school. Luckily I did, so I gave some of my fresh, clean food to Holo and Artic. They both said “Thanks!” We all smiled. Then Gallow came to our table and said “Did you get the message? I’ll be waiting for you.” he walked away. Artic and Holo froze, and both said “I feel sorry for you”. We had 2 more subjects left, which were algebra and computer electronics, and they are my favorites.
Algebra ended and we headed to our lockers. Once again Gallow came with his little “gang”. Gallow said “I’ll be waiting for you”.
“Yeah, Yeah. He heard you the first time. Leave him alone.” said Holo. “Well, well, well. You want to be part of this?” After Gallow said that they left and the bell rang.
The teacher of computer electronics had a mood swing, as usual. So, I did my best on it and Artic didn’t get it at all, but Holo didn’t care about his grades on computer stuff. The bell rang.
The dreadful time came. It was 3:00 and I was at the front of the school. No one was there, only me, alone, and scared. Gallow Jumped up and said “BOO”!
The fight begins here.
